WHY THE NAME "ROAST PIGEON"
Choosing the name of a business, a channel, a website or even just a nickname is always difficult, but when you are not alone, the difficulty increases. In addition to the fact that you must agree, the name must represent both of you and different aspects of two different characters, of two different people.
The decision on the name was not immediate, and we gave birth to the idea of "Roast Pigeon" after several days; we took a journey into ourselves and into the couple, remembering past episodes and trying to find each other's qualities. We must admit that it was a good opportunity to stop the chaos that has been characterising our daily life for some time and to sit around a table with a good glass of wine to talk about us, which after more than three years of relationship every now and then fails to happen.
Initially we wanted to play on the "trip to three" that we are undertaking , creating a nice pun that would refer to the cat, to the couple, to the trip or to Mexico.
But unfortunately for us (and for you) we are not that serious. One word leads to another and chatter quickly becomes bullshit, and bullshit laughter. We soon changed our minds, and almost as a joke we started looking for the most important migratory birds, reading about proud eagles , mighty albatrosses, agile hawks and small but fast sparrows. No, it definitely wasn't for us. In fact, we were looking for an animal that represented us, a common, ordinary, apparently insignificant and underestimated animal. Among the thousands of words that came out of our mouths, only one immediately impressed us, so much so that we both fell silent for a few seconds. We had found him! Him, who travels all day, with any weather, in any place. Him, who is known for invading our cities, loved by few, eaten by many, but he never gives up! He lives his life as an "anyone" without hawk eyes or eagle wings, but he resists, he travels and he migrates only thanks to his perseverance and his adaptability. It is so easy to get to the top with a flap of wings if you are an eagle ... get up there if you are a pigeon .
